Let Justice Roll Down
On Saturday, October 10, BWARM hosted a worship service for United Methodists and other Christians in anticipation of the National Equality March. This powerful and moving worship service was attended by over 140 folks from across the country. The worship service provided an opportunity for worship, to celebrate the strides that the LGBTQ movement has taken in recent years, and to empower all to work toward full and equal rights for everyone -- in the United States and the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Karen Oliveto preached a powerful sermon encouraging those in attendance to "work it out in the public square." The music, lead by Jayson Dobney, was lively and empowering. Letters of support were received from ten United Methodist Bishops - read the letters from Bishop Carcano and from the other Bishops. Those in attendance celebrated communion together, both in the service and during a time of fellowship afterwards.
B-WARM wins Cup of Justice Award

BWARM wins 2009 Cup of Justice Award at RMN , CO
The Reconciling Ministries Network presented the Cup of Justice Award at their Convocation over Labor Day weekend. The Cup of Justice Award is given for taking bold action to invoke justice where injustice, oppression and exclusion exist. In 2005, the award was presented to the Retired Reconciling Clergy of the New England Annual Conference who made public statements and took action for marriage equality. In 2007, Rebecca (Becca) Cramer, a young adult who shepherded legislation through the Student Forum creating reconciling worship and workshops as part of official programming, was the recipient. B-WARM congratulates the fellow finalists and celebrates the work of justice across our United Methodist connection. See photos.
